Love is where we begin.
Our first candle in the Flourish Collection is Love, inspired by the first fruit of the Spirit and the foundation from which so much begins.
May these words be something you return to, share with someone you love, and carry with you long after the flame has gone out.
Love
In the heart of the garden grew the greatest of trees.
She stood neither tall nor proud,
with no fruit to be seen.
Her limbs stretched out to receive
and catch the light of the sun,
but its rays only dried her tender green leaves.
So Love, left dry, wilted each day.
Waiting for the word of water to refresh her, she prayed.
So the Gardener arose to speak with her.
Through the sound of his watering can, he gave her his word.
And in her roots His water now soaked.
Now when the sun met her, she began to flourish,
bringing out new aromas so lovely and nourished.
Love! She blossomed with fragrance like peonies;
the sweet scent of nectarines carried aloft in the breeze.
And in her fruitful display, Love now gleamed!
Oh Love, once she lay in a soft, quiet wilt,
but never again, for the Gardener came
with water that spoke: “You are mine.”
